COVID-19 Health & Safety

OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU

Our team is committed to being responsive to your needs. To ensure we keep everyone safe, we are following industry and government recommended protocols to minimize the risk of a spread and/or exposure to COVID-19 in our community. At the onset of the pandemic, we made several changes to our operating procedures so we could continue to be of service while maintaining the safety and health of our employees and residents.

GENERAL FAQ’s

We have partnered with trusted and experienced vendors to ensure we keep our residents and team safe. Our enhanced cleaning and disinfecting protocols are in alignment with Toronto Public Health guidelines, including frequent cleaning of high-touch surfaces in our common areas and offices. The Selby has made finding your new rental suite easy by providing guided virtual tours with our experienced leasing consultants. You are also invited to join us for in-person tours by appointment only.

We have enhanced cleaning protocols in place and a reservation app that allows us to follow all COVID-19 protocols to keep our residents safe. In addition to the provincial health measures, some municipalities and local medical officers of health have added their own regional restrictions or requirements. Check Toronto’s Public Health website for details using the links below. We will be opening and closing our amenities at the determined health measures by following the new health coding of our city.

According to the Toronto Public Health masks should always be worn when physical distancing is difficult. The City of Toronto By-law 541-2020 and By-law 542-2020 requires everyone to wear masks or face coverings in all indoor public settings, including common areas in multi-residential buildings.

We ask that you bring your own personal protective equipment during your in-person tour of The Selby, to ensure you feel comfortable at all times.

To keep The Selby as safe as possible we have applied GermGuard on all our high touchpoint areas. GermGuard, is a Health Canada registered, permanently bonding antimicrobial surface treatment that kills 99% of germs and bacteria upon contact. GermGuard Technology has been proven to last on surfaces for up to 6 months. High touch areas such as doorknobs, amenity surfaces, and elevator buttons are now protected by GermGuard.

In line with Toronto Public Health guidance, we recommend no more than three people per elevator. If you or one of your neighbors prefers to ride alone, please respect their request and wait for the next available elevator.

Our team follows all government protocols, including remaining six feet apart, when possible. When completing in-suite maintenance requests, The Selby maintenance team does wear personal protective equipment for everyone’s protection.

Our team follows all government protocols and have not travelled outside Canada since closures of the borders. Individuals and families in higher transmission areas should avoid travel to lower transmission areas (for example, from red to orange, from yellow to green), except for essential reasons.
