Jonathan Ellenzweig is responsible for the strategic oversight of Tricon Residential’s rental housing and development platforms. He helps design and implement investment strategy, manages relationships with key stakeholders, sources new opportunities and oversees teams responsible for business plan execution and investment management. In addition, Jonathan leads Tricon’s San Francisco office.

Since joining Tricon in 2005, Jonathan has been an integral part of many of its defining strategic initiatives, including its IPO in 2010, the launch of its single-family rental business in 2012,its entry into U.S. multi-family rental in 2019, and Tricon’s privatization transaction in 2024.

Prior to joining Tricon, Jonathan worked in investment banking in New York and Toronto for Citigroup Global Markets.

He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, the Policy Advisory Board of the Fisher Centre for Real Estate and Urban Economics at the University of California, Berkeley, and serves on numerous local Boards of Directors, including Marin Girls Softball, and the Lark Theatre, a non-profit single-screen arthouse cinema in Marin County, California.

Jonathan has an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree with First Class Honours from Queen’s University.
