After seven years in their beloved Tricon home, the dream of owning their own home became a reality for Dennis, a former Tricon resident and current team member, and his wife Nameica. They reflect on their heartfelt journey to homeownership, blending the joy of reaching their goal with the nostalgia of leaving behind a place filled with cherished memories.
Relocating to the South, their intention was clear: find a place their children can call home. What they discovered was a community. From neighbors who became friends to joyful celebrations with loved ones, their Tricon home provided more than just a place to live—it was a place to create lasting memories. “This Tricon home definitely gave me a sense of community,” Dennis fondly recalls.
When they became eligible for the Down Payment Assistance Program, their excitement grew realizing the timing aligned with their homeownership goals. Though owning their own home had always been the dream, the transition is filled with nostalgia and gratitude. As Dennis reflects, “It’s bittersweet because of the experiences we’ve had, the relationships we’ve built, and the ease of not worrying about maintenance!”
